To light up the way the world treats vulnerable people and to have a positive impact on their lives
To create a generation where people are treated equally and to provide access to basic amenities in a sustainable way for humanity through our humanitarian and developmental works
EYN Project was founded in 2005 with the aim of addressing and alleviating HIV/AIDS stigmatization.
EYN project has been working for the past 15 years and is one of the indigenous organizations in Borno State, a non-profit community-based organization that is dedicated to improving the lives of people in the community we serve compassionately. The organization started with HIV/AIDS intervention, but we later scaled to other humanitarian intervention because of the insurgency that started in Borno state in 2005. Our staff pool is made up of experts in the areas of Peace building and reintegration, HIV/AIDS, Nutrition, Protection, Education, Water Sanitation, and Hygiene and food security and livelihood (FSL), through its Humanitarian and developmental projects in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe States of North-East Nigeria. Our records have proven support to people affected by the Boko Haram insurgency, while consistently ensuring that we do not discriminate based on gender, tribe, or religion in all aspects of our interventions and employment.
In Borno, we operate in 8-local government areas with staff in all these locations (mostly made up of the indigenous population). We have built the capacity of individuals, communities to ensure the sustainability of program activities. EYN has a staff strength of over 400 personnel comprising of the management team, officers’ supervisors, case workers and volunteers. In the past 4 years, in partnership with SCI, we have reached over 66,000 Households with our monthly Food Assistance and in our Nutrition Intervention, 600 children have been recovered from Malnutrition. In partnership with Norwegian Church Aid, 956 women and girls accessed our case management service(s) under our Gender-based Violence Project.
EYN Project is now a Data Gathering Organization (DGO) in the North-Eastern Protection Forum.
